Qualified Supervision for Florida MHC Interns

Getting Closer to Reaching your Goals but it still Feels Far Away.

Finally, graduation is set but the journey is not over.  Now you have a whole new set of requirements to achieve your license.

You feel like reading the Florida Board requirements is meant to be confusing.

There is a pit in the stomach as worry sets in feeling like an imposter. You believe that you are expected to always be on and have all the right answers in that moment when dealing with any expected or unexpected situations with clients.

Your heart feels like it is running a mile a minute as you think about trying to get all direct client hours in the shortest time possible.

Help is Here.

Helping Hands

Even with all the school, internships, and supervision.  You are not expected to have all the answers and responsibility of a seasoned therapist.

Supervision is a place to continue to grow and strength one’s professional identity on an ever-growing journey.  Supervisees will explore ways to be the best version of themselves at this chapter of growth.  One is not expected to have answers in the moment but the willingness and drive to find different possible solutions.

Professional identity is not formed but discovered.  This time will be spent being vulnerable as a way for introspection of reflecting and evaluating one’s own skills, ability, cultural sensitivity, and connection for helping clients.   In return, supervisees should also expect feedback, normalization of the process as well as discussion for treatment planning for best care and welfare for your clients.

Let me be that Supervisor for you!

In Supervision, you will have all you question, and worries answered about the licensing process, helping clients, and not getting burn-out.

By the end of supervision peers will come to ask you about your opinion on tools with working with different clients and how to handle unexpected situations.

In this time, you will discover direction and connection towards the Licensed Mental Health Therapist, you want to be.

There is no doubt that you will feel confident to practice independently or with a group.
